I Would Rather Be Blind

I would rather be blind

In darkness I wander,
Blind to what the eye can see,
Yet unencumbered by the weight
Of corruption and immorality.

No politics, no wars,
No judgments cloud my mind,
For in my blindness, I perceive
Only love and human kind.

I do not see the greed
That drives so many men astray,
Nor do I witness the hatred
That festers day by day.

My world is one of touch
And sound and scent and taste,
Where kindness is a currency
And love is never wasted.

I do not mourn my blindness,
Nor do I wish for sight,
For in this darkness I have found
A world that’s pure and bright.

So let them keep their eyesight,
Their view of what’s below,
For in my blindness I am free
To see the beauty that they’ll never know.

Yes, I would rather be blind

Than seeing the immorality and corruption (sins),

That people do in this world!

Silver and gold have I none, but I'll give you what I have: the power of true love and real truth from things above! May you have heavenly peace and blessings.
