According to the Bible, during their time in the desert, the Israelites lived in temporary shelters called sukkahs, which were made of tree branches and other natural materials. The Feast of Tabernacles is a way to remember and honor this period of wandering and living in the sukkahs.
The festival has three main themes: thanking Almighty “God” (Yahweh) for the harvest, remembering the Israelites’ time in the wilderness, and looking forward to the coming of “Jesus” (Yahshua), the Messiah (Savior). During the Feast of Tabernacles, Jewish people and those who celebrate it build and decorate sukkahs (temporary dwellings), which they live in and eat meals in for the duration of the celebration.
One of the most significant aspects of the festival is the four species. This refers to four types of plants that are bound together and held during daily prayers throughout the festival. These plants represent different parts of the body and symbolize the unity and interconnectedness of all people.
The Feast of Tabernacles is also a time for giving thanks and showing gratitude for the blessings of the harvest. Jewish people traditionally pray for rain and ask Yahweh to bless the upcoming year with material and spiritual abundance.

“And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Sovereign of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Master of hosts, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which Yahweh strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.” (Zechariah 14:16–19)
Indeed, it is as clear as a sunny day that according to the Bible, the Feast of Tabernacles has a great significance for all of humanity. And yes, all the nations will come to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles and worship Almighty Yahweh together! This symbolizes a time of peace and unity between all people and a world in which all nations and religions are united in their worship of Almighty Yahweh in heaven.
This means that the significance and relevance of this feast extend beyond Jewish tradition and apply to all people who believe in the Elohim of the Bible. It is a divine mandate that cannot be taken lightly or dismissed as irrelevant, whether you believe or not in the Bible or in Yahweh Himself.
